Adjustable Manual probe Heads
An adjustable manual head gives a manual machine the added capability of probe reorientation, Xspect Solutions, Renishaw, Manual Probe Headsallowing the probe to address the surface at the best angle to get the most accurate result. Choose from a range of indexing or continuously-variable heads.
If a manual machine has been chosen then fitting a system that allows the probe tip to be orientated to inspect a wider range of complex features can not only dramatically reduce the total cycle time but enables more complex feature measurement to be undertaken.

  • MH20 Manual swivelling probe head
The A axis rotates through 93 in the X-Y plane. The B axis rotates through 300 in the Z plane. A thumbwheel locks the swivel in any position. Qualification must take place after each head adjustment and TP20 modules can be changed repeatably.
  • MH20i Manual indexing probe head
The A axis rotates through 90 in the X-Y plane. The B axis rotates through 180 in the Z plane. A lever locks the head in one of up to 168 repeatable positions, set at 15 increments.
  • MH8 Manual probe head
The MH8, positionally repeatable in 168 positions, is designed for use on small manual CMMs with short probe extensions and carries M8 probes.
  • MIH Manual indexing probe head
The manually indexable head - MIH - is positionally repeatable in 720 positions. It features an LCD display and Autojoint probe mounting. The MIH is designed for use with long probe extensions for larger components.
The MIH-S (manual indexable head - serial) is an enhanced version of the standard MIH which provides feedback of status and lock position to the CMM computer over an RS232 link via the MIH-SI interface.
  • PH1 Manual Probe Head
The A axis rotates through 115 in the X-Y plane locked with hexagonal key. The B axis rotates through 360 in the Z plane. This probe head is offset from the mounting shank Z axis.
  • PH5 Manual Probe Head
This is a 5-way fixed head, which accomodates up to five probes simultaneously.
The PH5/1 model incorporates B axis rotating through 360 and limited overtravel protection.
  • PH6 Manual Probe Head
This is a compact, vertical probe head for a single probe, with a choice of integral cables.
The PH6A is designed for use with autojoint probes and allows you to change probes or add exstentions without having to requalify the probe.
The PH6M is a fixed head with autojoint connection for probes and adaptors, for use with TP7M, SP600M and SP25M.
